Steps to Set Up Google Photos Backup
Open Google Photos
- Start by opening the Google Photos app on your mobile device.
Sign In with Your Google Account
- Ensure you’re signed in with the Google account you want to use for backup.
Go to Settings
- Tap on your profile picture or initials in the top right corner, then select Photos settings.
Enable Backup & Sync
- Turn on Backup & Sync to start automatically saving your photos and videos to Google Photos.
Choose Upload Quality
- Select Storage saver (reduced quality) or Original quality depending on your storage needs. Storage saver mode compresses files, so you can store more within the free 15 GB.
