Steps to Set Up Google Photos Backup

  1. Open Google Photos

    • Start by opening the Google Photos app on your mobile device.
  2. Sign In with Your Google Account

    • Ensure you’re signed in with the Google account you want to use for backup.
  3. Go to Settings

    • Tap on your profile picture or initials in the top right corner, then select Photos settings.
  4. Enable Backup & Sync

    • Turn on Backup & Sync to start automatically saving your photos and videos to Google Photos.
  5. Choose Upload Quality

    • Select Storage saver (reduced quality) or Original quality depending on your storage needs. Storage saver mode compresses files, so you can store more within the free 15 GB.
  6. Enjoy Your Backup!

    • Once set up, Google Photos will automatically back up new photos and videos, so you don’t have to worry about losing any precious memories.
