 What is Hardware ?

Computer hardware refers to the physical components of a computer or any electronic device. These are the tangible parts that you can touch and see. Hardware works together with software (Operating Systems)  and Humans to perform computing tasks.

What is Computer Hardware? 

Computer hardware means components of computer devices such as Motherboard, Keyword, Laptop, Mouse etc. These devices we touch and feel are called computer hardware.  

How many types of Computer Hardware Components? 

 Basically 5 types of hardware components in:

1. Input Device:  It means that users can interact with devices and provide data to the computer. 

Ex: Keyboard, Mouse, Scanner, Webcam, Microphone, Joystick

2. Output Device: That means display or output the results of input value though the computer hardware component. 

Ex:  Monitor, Printer, Speakers, Projector

3. Processing Devices : These are responsible for executing instructions and processing data.

Ex: 

• CPU(Central Processing Unit) 
• ALU( Arithmetic Logic Unit)  
• CU(Control Unit)

4. Storage Devices:  These are responsible for storage data temporary or permanently, 

EX:   

• Primary Storage: RAM (Random Access Memory), ROM (Read-Only Memory)

•  Secondary Storage: HDD (Hard Disk Drive), SSD (Solid State Drive), USB drive, CD/DVD, SD Card etc. 

 5. Communication Device:  These devices allow computers to communicate with other systems or networks.

• Ex: Network Interface Card (NIC), Modem, Wi-Fi Adapter, Router

What is a Computer Keyboard ?

A Computer keyword is a input device that allow user to enter data in computer as a characters ( letter, symbols, numeric) for a specific task, 

 

How many types of Computer Keyboard:  

Basically there are 6 types of keywords:- 

1. Standard Keyboard:  Also known as the desktop keyboard, include alphabetic characters, punctuation symbols, numbers and a variety of function keys. 

    

2. Laptop Keyword: Has the same keyboards type as a normal keyboard, except for the fact that most laptop keyboards condense the symbols into fewer buttons to accommodate less space.

    

3.  Gaming Keyboard:  Are similar to normal keyboards except they generally contain extra features such as illuminated keys, multimedia keys, an additional LED screen, pain rest and features. 

    

4. Laser or Infrared Keyboards:  This is also called virtual keyboard , this is used in projects the keyboard onto a flat surface as a table or desk, such as IRON MEN MOVIES.

    

5. Roll up Keyboard: Are made of soft plastic or silicone which can be rolled on itself for travel. 

    

6. Wired Keyboard:  These are two types

• PS-2:- In this section 6 pin
• USB:- 

1. Wireless Keyboard:  RF (Radio Frequency) type of keyboard we can use for USB external types of 

    

    Which are parts of the computer keyword?   

   There are many part of keyboard let’s explain:- 

1. Function Keys:  Across the top of a keyboard are a row of keys called the functions keys. Such as F1 to F12 perform specific functions. 

2. Numeric Keypad: On a larger keyboard an extra section to the right contains the numeric keypad, such as 0 to 9, +, - , enter also,. 

3. Typewriter Keys: The Center of the keyboard, which contains the largest amount of keys, included letters and numbers. Most typing is done with these keys. 

4. Special Keys.: Other keys included in keyboards, such as TAB, SHIFT, CTL, CapLock, ALTER. etc. 

 

What is a Computer Mouse?

A Computer mouse is a hardware input pointer device, used to specific particular graphical input in Operating Systems. 

 

Types of Computer Mouse:- 

1. Cordless Mouse(Wireless):- The mouse without wire or cord is called wireless mouse. It works through an adapter device and battery.

2. Optical Mouse:-  This mouse is working based on a sensor with wire connected. 

3. Mechanical Mouse:- This is a very old mouse, used for mechanical purposes and it is compulsory to use a mouse pad, currently not available. 

4. TrackBall Mouse:-  It consists of a ball held by a socket containing sensors to detect a rotation of the ball. The user rolls the ball with the fingers or the palm of the hand to move a pointer.

 

What is the Computer Mouse Port: 

1. PS/2 Port :  It is personal system port , we are using less but personal using, 

2. Wireless Port:  It is a wireless port. 

3. Universal Serial Bus: It is a popular and best port in the market. 

4. Serial Port: This is a similar USB type. 

    

   What is a System Cabinet?

Hardware Components are just like a cover, there are all parts of computer devices such as CPU, SMPS, ALU, Motherboard and other small-small components covered in one big basket called System Cabinet. 

 

How many types of Cabinet are there ? 

There are 6 types of System Cabinet:

1. Full Tower:  Using data center, gaming hub, user:- Flipkart, Amazon, 

2. Mid Tower:-   Normal User. 

3. Mini Tower:- Every user  

4. Slim Line Case:  Very small and thin. 

    

Small Form Factor(SFF) Case:  This is branded and desktop based and books-sized PCs.
