What is Computer Networking
Ans : Computer Networking refers to the process of interconnecting multiple computing devices (like computers, smartphones, and servers) so they can communicate, exchange data, and share resources with one another.
Computer Networking ka matlab hai multiple computers aur devices ko ek saath connect karna taaki wo data share kar sakein.
Simple Words: Agar do ya usse jayda devices ek dusre se connected hain aur infromations exchange kar rahe hain, toh usko network kehte hain.
Example:
- Office Network
- WiFi Network
- Internet HotSpots
- Mobile Network
- Company Server Environment
Real Industry Experience
Corporate environment mien networking ka use:
- File Sharing
- Printer access
- Internet access
- Remote Support
- CCTV Monitoring
- Security Monitoring
- Cloud Service access
Types of Network Working (Architectures)
Ans: Computer networks function based on how the connected devices share responsibilities and interact with each other. There are two primary types of network working.
Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Architecture
- Every device on the network has equal capabilities and responsibilities.
- No central server controls the network.
- Devices share files and peripherals (like printers) directly with each other.
- Best suited for small environments like homes or small offices.
Real Life Example:
- The Scenario: You and your friend are sitting in the same room. You want to share a video from your phone to their phone.
- How to Works: You use Apple Airdrops or Android Quick Share. Your phone connects directly to your friend’s phone using Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
- The Connection: There is no main computer or central server controlling the transfer. Both phones act as equals to send and receive the file.
Client-Server ArchitectureThe Scenario: You connect your laptop to your Home Wi-Fi to print a document and browse the web. How it Works: Your laptop sends the print command to your home Router.
The router understands the destination and directs the data locally to
your wireless printer. At the same time, it directs your web browsing
data out to the global internet.
- A centralized, powerful computer (the server) stores data and manages network traffic.
- Other devices (the clients, like your laptop or phone) access resources through this server.
- The server handles security, user authentication, and data backups.
- Standard model for the internet, large businesses, and web applications.
Real Life Example:
- The Scenario:- You open the YouTube app on your phone to watch a video.
- How to Works: Your phone (the Client) sends a request across the internet asking for that specific video. Google's massive data center computer (the Server) finds the video file and streams it back to your device.
- The Connection: Your phone does not hold the video. The central server holds all the data and serves it to millions of clients simultaneously.
